Meet Kristi Sinclair, CMP

Hi, I'm Kristi Sinclair, CMP, founder of Coastal Meetings & Events LLC.

With more than 20 years of experience in conference planning, hospitality, tourism, and event management, I help associations, nonprofits, corporations, and government organizations deliver successful meetings and conferences with confidence. My passion is creating well-organized events that allow clients to focus on their mission while I manage the details.

Throughout my career, I have planned and coordinated every aspect of an event—from venue selection, contract negotiations, registration management, and budget oversight to speaker coordination, audiovisual logistics, food and beverage planning, transportation, and onsite event execution. I believe successful events are built on thoughtful planning, clear communication, and strong partnerships.

As a longtime resident of Virginia Beach, I have developed trusted relationships with hotels, venues, and hospitality partners throughout the region, enabling me to provide valuable local expertise and exceptional service to my clients.

My professional experience includes leadership roles with VisitNorfolk, where I worked with hundreds of meeting planners and supported conferences ranging from 50 to more than 3,000 attendees. I have also managed logistics for major conferences and events, including the Virginia Cyber Symposium, Virginia Cyber Convention & Expo, and christening ceremonies at the Newport News Shipyard. I currently serve as the Annual Conference Planner for the Virginia Fire Chiefs Association.
